TV Anime 'Prince of Stride: Alternative' Announced for Winter 2016

An official website has opened and revealed that a TV anime titled Prince of Stride: Alternative will premiere in Winter 2016. The anime is based on the otome game Prince of Stride, available on the PlayStation Vita, and will be produced by studio Madhouse. According to a preview video released by Media Factory, the cast will be the same as in the game. The staff has also been revealed.

Synopsis
The series is about an extreme form of sport known as "Stride." It involves 6 players on a team that runs relay races in towns. The story takes place at Honan Academy where first year high school students Takeru Fujiwara and Nana Sakurai try to recruit members for their "Stride" club. They request Riku Yagami to join with the help of Takeru and Nana. Their goal is to compete and win the "End of Summer," a top competition hosted in Japan alongside other schools.

See, I thought that too, but in the first episode they have Yagami drooling over Sakurai. Maybe they will bring more attention to that in the next season. If not, still a great sport's anime.

The anime is based from a reverse-harem otome game, but I think that the anime isn't.

Hmm. I've heard rumors that the anime might make Yagami Riku (one of the guys) the protagonist. I read a game summary recently and it seems Nana, the girl in the otome is somewhat like a manager, and she doesn't really run in the games.

Is this true?

I'm fine with either way. If they make this a full sports anime, cool. A sports anime with otome elements, cool.

For (supposedly) putting this much time and effort into this project, the chara designs have ended up pretty half-heartedly... Admittedly, I didn't notice it too much until I had reached Heath's part, then scrolled upwards and noticed that actually there was not much of a difference in quality, haha.
Well, I hope the animation will be more stable at the very least, then.
