Manga 'High Score Girl' Resumes Publication
The official site of Square Enix announced that Rensuke Oshikiri's manga High Score Girl will resume publication after being on an indefinite hiatus since August 2014. The manga and its anime adaptation received copyright violation charges by game developer SNK Playmore for using characters from video game series, such as King of Fighters, Samurai Showdown, and other games without proper permission. According to the press release by Square Enix, these charges have been dropped in relation to the manga resuming its publication. There is currently no additional information about the anime adaptation.

That's great news! I was wondering why the anime had not been made, so it was a copyright issue.
Heard that SNK had been doing badly lately. Maybe it sue against Square Enix to at least get some compensation. But if SNK won the case, fans might get angry and go against them. So it is good that the case was resolved.

Hopefully this paves the way for that anime adaptation to be able to happen at long last.

That explains why Nendoroids from this manga are being made.
I wouldn't mind the anime being adapted though.

It's kinda nice when the first you hear of an interesting manga is it coming off hiatus. At least you know then there will be content to read.
(much preferable to the alternative)
Also shit it starts with a Street Fighter reference, I'm in.
