Can someone like destroy Studio Pierrot? I don't think anyone gonna miss them then we can have another studio pick Tokyo Ghoul and clean its name.
stop blaming studios and blame directors instead and the team behind it.
You can see from Akatsuki no Yona (Pierrot studio) that it's all about who is behind the project and how they distribute the budget and the storyboard.
Tokyo Ghoul second season budget was mostly spent on the soundtrack and CGI. And the storyboard was awful. It's hard to picture that it's the same people who worked on season 1 and season 2.
as far as Tokyo Ghoul...season 2 was so weak i need to take a break and ALL my friends, including me, are pissed and don't care much about anything else they release until they reboot.
Season 2's animation was awful

The storyboard was done by Ishida Sui himself. If you read/see the original storyboard from Ishida you can see how much they changed his story. Honestly I saw none of the story board revealed made into the anime, which is, really disappointing since Ishida really has skillful writing that can make the story or at least the ending 10000x better.
I hope they can rake the money in as much as they can with all these TG adaption so that they will have better budget for a reboot(oh god forbid them jumping straight into :re)
Well the animation was awful especially in Root A, the character design itself was really awkward at times. Ishida's art didnt really suit the solid, colorful Pierrot style. Something like Death Parade or Shingeki no Bahamut or Zankyou no Terror animation style would be fitting for TG imo.

Not even that actually, the publisher didn't want a legit adaptation so they made pierrot do Root A, which still had some good animation.

Santo cielo!
I honestly don't mind because more Tsukiyama is always great. Besides the staff changed a bit so I hope the new director doesn't disappoint like the previous one.
So in short the OVA will be about Tsukiyama? I have no idea since I didn't know a light novel even existed.

so the big question is whether it will follow RE story line or a completely new one after root a.
Its not a new season and the OVA takes place before both the original series and :re.
