'Ghost in the Shell: Arise' TV Anime Announced [Update 2/17]

According to its official website, a Ghost in the Shell: Arise TV anime will be broadcasted this April. More details will be announced shortly.

The official site was updated today to indicate that Ghost in the Shell: Arise will broadcast under the title Ghost in the Shell Arise - Alternative Architecture. The series will air starting April 5 as a recompilation of the movies for TV broadcast (totaling 8 episodes) with two additional episodes of original content. These episodes will connect the previous Arise movies with the upcoming Ghost in the Shell movie scheduled to premiere this Summer.

Only two scenes, Major jumping of a bulding and facing off a take. And when it comes to philosophy, it's the dualism that's repeated but that's central to the franchise. That's pretty much it.

every single gits entry seems to be re-hasing ideas that were previously explored, and then there are also scenes that are nearly exactly the same, like motoko jacking into a bi-ped tank and shit, and re-hashing all the same philosophical shit.

I love gits, but it's kinda getting old.

Not sure how I feel about the news until I see the two new episodes myself but hopefully will be good. It's really important to get them directed right so that it stays connected to the upcoming movie this Summer.
