'Shinmai Maou no Testament' Gets OVA

The February issue of Kadokawa's Shounen Ace, which will be released on Friday, will announce that Shinmai Maou no Testament will be receiving an OVA. The OVA will be bundled with the 8th volume of the light novels, to be shipped in June 2015.

The anime series will air Winter 2015.

Pretty possible that it'll be a fanservice OVA. Can't say much since there's not much known about the content.

I'm looking forward to the series next month.

though I'd personally prefer if they were blood-related but close enough

I do consider it a bad thing as it rarely ever entertains me. and even generic ecchi harem light novels aren't guaranteed to get good sales numbers. But I guess you can avoid total failure with this concept. Most people don't really have writing standards when it comes to this medium or entertainment in general. The D does the talking :)

How can you not judge this by its cover? Do you think these kind of shows want to conceal their target audience? Of course not.
99,99% of the time you'll be spot on with pre-judging by synopsis, cover and genres.

Sounds good to me, the series (both LN and manga) are fab that far surpassed my expectations. I expect the anime to be equally excellent and this OVA announcement is just the icing on the cake if it's even more focused on fan service.
