18 Meter Monument of Tetsujin 28-go About To Be Completed

According to the official website of "KOBE Tetsujin Project", the 18 meter monument of Tetsujin 28-go will be completed soon and put on public viewing this August.

The recent progress report has pictures of the huge parts being assembled in a factory.

The project was launched in 2006 in order to commemorate the great works of mangaka Yokoyama Mitsuteru.

Ahh finally!
They are talking about this statue since 2006, as a symbol of Kobe's restoration of the earthquake of 1995.

Will be nice to watch another robot statue, taking in consideration that Tetsujin 28-go was the first super robot in manganime story.

Does Yokoyama Mitsuteru have any works besides that one novel listed in MALs DB? You'd hope so, since a giant fucking statue is being built based on said works.

edit: kind of ignored the statue's relation to the tetsujin anime. Still, I don't understand the link the statue has to Yokoyama Mitsuteru..
