hmm, seems like i'm not the only one who uses this list to find new unknown things to read. I like a decent amount of the popular LNs but seriously; this list is far better to see where the lesser known series rank. You don't really need a poll to affirm that what you're reading is worth it if you're already 10+ volumes into the series.

YEah, some people in the reviews were expecting a comedy judging by the component of the story, and were surprised that it's not. This author wrote well done comedy as well before, like Kuzu ga mirumiru sorenari ni naru for example, so it's not like the author didn't know how to do that properly. Still, he choose instead something serious, like he did with vampire summer time, and well, seems like it works.
The baseball part, which is the main focus, has been praised quite a bit by everyone. Seems like it really transcribes well this sport.

It still surprises me that the Index, at 1st place years in row until it's last volume, continuing in the top Novels after ending and still they didn't adapted the fucking whole thing, stopped at a cliffhanger!!! The cow is still full of milk when will they do it!?

Ikuta is the most badass military tactician I've seen. He's also well developed and one of the few male protagonists that I find charming.

Now I'm even more interested in the series. I hope it gets an anime adaptation soon.

Yes, you guessed well. Although the review I quoted above don't cover that point at all, other reviews make mention of this point. He disguise himself indeed to enter the harem palaceand assassinate the emperor. There, it seems like he get himself involved in the baseball matches... In fact, , I would guess that the girl on the cover is actually the MC cross dressing. Not sure though.

Because that emperor love baseball, the harem concubines give their best to appeal to him and being favored by him by playing well baseball.
That author is among those authors knows to be able to construct a proper story line and world building with components that seem to be difficult to conciliate. ImO this is a skill that most author are lacking. ImO the only japanese authors outside of him that I saw being able to do that until now were Kawakami and more or less Akira~.

Well, at least the girls love their emperor, and since it only has one volume, I doubt there was any time to even have any romance between the MC and any of the girls (even though that would be NTR lol).

If it is, then does that mean the MC is a guy cross-dressing as a girl and joins the emperor's harem by pretending to be a girl and plays baseball with them?
