Preview of K-ON! Episode 12 Causes a Turmoil [Updated]

At the end of "K-ON!" episode 11 aired on June 11th, the next episode was called "The final episode 'Keion!'".

The preview caused a turmoil on the internet and a news website reported that K-ON! series was cut down to 12 episodes, even accelerated the confusion.

However, all the major anime magazines released this month announced that the episode 13 will be aired on June 25. The chances are quite slim that K-ON! was shortened by one episode.

The synopsis of episode 13 indicates it's an extra story after the school festival.

According to the official BBS of K-ON!, the TBS staff denied the rumor of shortening. She said "The airing continues until episode 13. Ep12 is the final episode, and Ep13 is a Bangaihen (extra episode)".

Best showing of this is that one world in the Tsubasa manga where they went from

I wouldn't mind their being some actual music scenes in this anime. Maybe I'm being a Mio here, since I wish that they had practiced more often. The series should have more music than just moe girls having fun at the beach. D:

As for the turmoil...I guess I like the 13 episodes concept. not too long, but then again, it would be nice if they had added some more music based episodes. :>

I think that's a big generalization to make...How did you come to that conclusion?
I personally don't give a damn when or how it happens as long as it does happen. I'd much prefer another season happening later where the anime can stay relatively true to the manga content/keep up animation quality, rather than a longer anime ridden with obnoxious filler, QUALITY, and an original ending. Natsume Yuujinchou/Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou and Maria Holic vs. Kuroshitsuji and Nabari no Ou.

No surprise. There aren't even that many manga chapters so this series couldn't have been any longer than 13 episodes without mass amounts of filler added to extend it beyond that.

Still, no reason to get bent out of shape over this.
