Manga 'Magic Kaito' to Get TV Anime Series

Shogakukan's Weekly Shounen Sunday magazine announced on Wednesday that Magic Kaito will get its own TV anime series. It will replace Kindaichi Shounen Jikenbo Returns this Fall. The studio will be A-1 Pictures.

The manga's special anime adaptation, which aired as a part of Detective Conan, was aired between 2010 to 2012.

Interesting that this actually happened. As long as it's not just the specials over again (or better yet just continue where they left off), I'll definitely check it out to see how good or bad it is.

Too bad there won't be any Conan to make the interactions more amusing.

Uchuu Kyoudai was amazing though.

A-1 tried its best, but the source isn't that good in the first place. If only Log Horizon got A-1, it might have been the next big thing.

Yeah, they made it but it's too episodic (and irregularly released too..) to be like an actual series.

They're always been either good or bad... I remember when SAO was annoucned some people spectulated taht it would be either one... Well, it was both, sort of.

I was really happy when I see this announcement!
It should be way better than Detective Conan and the previous Magic Kaito.
Really looking forward to this series!

It was really tiring to watch, so I am not so sure this is gonna get better. And yes, I had to skip it too. I know that Conan, being a long running series, had to slim down on Animation, but DAMN... They looked absolutely juvenile outside of select few arcs.

But this is a studio with some decent animation, so I have no idea how this will be. But boy, I wish another studio would animate Conan season by season with each season having new Black Org revelations instead of the animate all, add some filler shit we have right now.

I only watched Kaito in Detective Conan titles, so I don't know much about his own titles, but he seems to me as thief version of Shinichi Kudo - not to mention Kappei Yamaguchi voices them both and they look really similar.

About childhood friend thing, in Detective Conan most of relationships are based on that which is kinda stupid.

Anyway, I'm guessing this new series will most likely be what Lupin was in 70s and 80s.
