Manga 'Ao Haru Ride' to Receive TV Anime Adaptation

Bessatsu Margaret's upcoming February issue, to be released on January 11th, will announce a TV anime adaptation of the magazine's ongoing manga, Ao Haru Ride.

Cast:
Mabuchi Kou: Kaji Yuki
Yoshioka Futaba: Uchida Maaya

Sakisaka Io's series debuted three years ago in Betsuma's February 2011 issue and was adapted into a light novel series 11 months later. Volume 4 of the light novel was just released on December 27th and volume 9 of the manga will be released on January 10th. All currently released manga volumes have charted #5 or higher in their debut on Oricon's Weekly Manga Rankings, with volume 2 achieving first place and the latest volume selling 187,726 copies in its first week.

I'm so happy about this, maybe it's just me but I think Kaji Yuuki's voice doesn't fit Kou.
I can't imagine the guy with his voice, (even I love Yuuki so much).

I really like Uchida Maaya voice tone in Noragami... maybe this kind of voice she will use for Futaba? :)

It really is such a shame. I found that the film was confusing at times, but I think that it would have done better as a full anime series so they could develop the characters and the world a bit more (maybe eleven episodes or so). Still the movie delivered and it's sad that it didn't do well.

Wow seriously? I found the movie well paced and fitting as a movie. o_o Damn. Guess my tastes differ from Japan's!

This actually doesn't look too bad. Never been a huge fan of shoujo or Kaji Yuuji, but I'll give this a shot.

WIT Studio would be great too. I love what they did with HAL. Shame how it bombed so badly.

What the hell.... this manga sucks (in my opinion). I wish they'd animate Strobe Edge instead as a 12-ep series.
