Manga 'Isshuukan Friends.' to Get Anime Adaptation [Update 1/22]

The cover of this month's issue of Gangan Joker magazine has announced that the manga series Issuukan Friends. (One Week Friends) will be receiving an anime adaptation. Further details about the project will be announced at a later date.

Synopsis summarized from the manga's official page:
Kaori Fujimiya is always alone because all of her happy memories, including time spent with her friends, disappear every Monday. Deciding that he wants to be friends with her anyway, Yuuki Hase tries to get close to Kaori each week, wishing that she would one day call him "a friend."

Very good manga, the art and animation for the PV look great, and nice sounding newbie seiyuus. Really looking forward to this adaption, excitement overflowed from me as I watched the PV for some reason.

This is an excellent example of good mix of shounen/seinen/shoujo style and show why such tag is getting less and less meaningful for a manga (and of course anime).

A surprise that this gets the push and picked to be animated though, have to say.

Why would you hope that doesn't happen? It's generally a good thing if a manga or anime gets received well, you know, as it means the manga will get time to develop and won't get cancelled and if the anime sale is really well it might even open the path to a 2nd season?

I think she means that she hopes that the anime won't do badly in sales. Thus, 'bomb in sales'. I hope this anime does well in sales as well.

The art fits perfectly for the story in the manga and i can't believe they are making an anime of this. I wonder what studio would be animating,

I hope it will not be a 10 minute episode anime.
