4-Panel Manga 'Oneechan ga Kita' to be Animated

On the official site of "Manga Life" magazine, a cover scan has been posted announcing that a TV anime adaptation of "Oneechan ga Kita" has been green-lit. The anime is expected to begin airing January 2014. No other details have been given at this time.

This anime will be airing on Wednesday, starting on January 8, 2014. 27:00~ on TOKYO MX. (That means January 9, 2014 2:00AM regular time)

While elder brother/younger sister combination is indeed more common, there are now quite a lot of manga/LN that is about elder sister/younger brother siscon/brocon. I think just right off my head I can think of at least half a dozen manga that is like this manga, with elder sister having a brocon complex towards her younger brother...

I wonder why non of the older sister and younger brother manga and LNs aren't being animated? I want siscon anime with an elder sister.

I tend to like both either way, but I do like seeing older sisters too. Nice to have one finally getting animated.

Perhaps it is deemed that the time has not come yet for anime of this kind of subject? For example, there were non-stop rumors about Hozuki-san Chi no Aneki getting animated but this never materialized and the manga has now ended for years. Recently the rumor shifted to Ane Log but at the end it turns out it is Oneechan ga Kita which wins the race to be animated...

I don't believe so. I didn't look that hard, but I did look and couldn't find it. Since this is getting animated maybe someone will take the time to TL it now.

I would question anime's fascination with sibling love, but then I'd have to question America soap opera fascination with fart jokes. Chalk it up to culture difference and call it a day.
