New OVA of 'Infinite Stratos' Due on Oct 30, 2013

An OVA has been announced for "Infinite Stratos" to be released on October 30th, when the second season will still be airing. The title of the OVA is "Infinite Stratos Long Vacation Edition: Hitonatsu (Ichika) no Omoide" (一夏の思いで) which is a double wordplay on the word 一夏 and can mean "Ichika's Memory" or "Memory of One Summer". The OVA will last 40 minutes and the disc will contain more than 30 minutes of other video contents.

You mean the raw might come out of the actual ep. that include TV airing of ep.1 and the uploader just took that new part out? That makes sense. (I thought that why there's no OP but there's full ver. of ED when I saw it)

I first thought OVA is separate, then when I saw first ep. I learned that OVA is extend ver. of ep.1, then I saw the official site that both OVA and ep.1 are included. "I didn't even think that after learning that OVA is extended ver. of ep. 1 would be included in the same volume as the actual TV airing ep.1 "is what I try to explain.

There raw came out for few hours and it seems like it is 16 mins. instead of 40 mins. So weird.

Yeah, two weeks ago hpulley and I talked about this and confirmed the OVA will be an extended first episode and subsequently the OVA is named as vol.1 of IS2

2nd Season starts 5th of Oct, OVA released 30th Oct.

I've only watched very few OVAs even if I liked the whole series...I don't like those OVA which are only full of fan service...But I still might try this one somehow...
