Doraemon Manga to be Published in English for the First Time

According to Manga Comics Manga, it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2013 that Doraemon will soon be published in English for the first time. The title will start coming out fall 2013 for the Amazon Kindle. Currently print publication isn't being looked into. The volumes will be full color.

Doraemon is a well-know iconic children's manga in Japan. It is about a robot cat from the future who can pull anything from his pocket. He travels back in time to help a young boy named Nobita Nobi.

The manga ran from 1969 to 1996 and was written and created by the duo known as F. Fujio Fujiko. Doraemon has also had three anime TV series adaptations, including one that ran from 1979 to 2005. There have also been a number of feature films based on the series.

Finally, I might pick up this manga again because I lost interest (I bought 5 volumes of Doraemon translated into my local language and read them all)

Ahh this brings back memories, My favorite manga and anime of my childhood. Still have heaps of merchandise i collected back then, its great to see the love is still out there for this amazing series :D

About damn time indeed. I'm surprised it took em this long to get such a famous and well loved series to make it to the US. Glad it's finally getting some attention. Now lets hope they release it in original right to left format!

th3 other 2 in the bigg three one will never be took tp the us
the other many do

and now just Kochi Kame is needed ofr us relses in Manga form and then the us would have had the three biggest selliung manga ever relses there
