Third Season of Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai Due This Summer

According to Shogakukan, Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai III was announced to be aired this summer.

The Blu-ray edition of OVA Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai: Yonin to Idol will be released on August 28th.

Okay, so we have Index as Tsukiyo, Mikako as Yui, and Asuna as Lune.....This is gonna be interesting. XD

Now let's hope that Manglobe does the right thing and give the fans maybe 26 episodes of this amazing arc. I mean it is logical right? But the question for the start of the season is this: How are they going to explain this gigantic skip? My guess would be that they would have a two or three part recap of the skipped parts, maybe.

Well, this weeks current chapter (Chap 230) said that the series will launch on July 8th.
I'm still scared, what if it's only one cour? ;-;

The tenri arc is much faster paced and I thought it was better directed. Sure it cuts from parts of the manga but I felt its for the better as those are just dragged out scenes. The 1st two season does have too much repeated scene such as Shiori daydream sequences.

Good point. That gave me hope since I always thought the series had a better direction~

Tsukiyo's arc WILL be animated, as well as Yui's don't worry. And there's always the possibility that skipped conquests will be sold as OVAs.

The way I see it the series will be like this: 2 episodes for Tsukiyo, 1 pseudo-filler episode to set up the Goddess Arc, then 2 episodes for Yui and the rest of the episodes for the meat of the GA. If it's a 2-cour and all goes well and like I think it's gonna be, then that means we'll get about 20 episodes for the GA itself, give or take one.

SPOILERS MAYBE

The way i see it we will jump straight into Tsukiy's capture probably 2 episodes

Then a filler using the "magic flute", and "intrusion in pajamas" chapters (this installs Nora as the new district chief and has Diana asking for Keima's help finding her sister"

Then 2 episodes for yui's capture, here we find out about level 4's, that there is an enemy (fiore) and someone else is helping Keima/Elsie.

Then going into the midterm tests, and Apollo revealed, leading into the goddess conquests. These episodes will also introduce Akari and her "buddy"

After that it would just run parallel with the manga, just minus 7 girls (qq). I dislike this approach but maybe that is what we will get. Problem is that took what 7 episodes? so a 12 episode season still won't do well in terms of development

I have a feeling I'm going to like this season (since it's Kami nomi), but throughout the entire season I'm going to be annoyed because of the skipped captures and then I'm meant to know who these characters are

I assume Ryuune is actually Lune in the fan translation. I guess the cast is fine.

Certainly, but it still wouldn't change the fact that playing with everyone's hype and expectations like that would be a dick move.
But yeah, I'd much rather have a "false promise" that's about the same quality as the first two seasons than have something as brilliant as the Goddess Arc rushed beyond repair.

Goddess arc is just too big, at first I thought they would cover smaller arcs which come before GA and finish with cliffhanger hinting at GA. I just fail to see logic in Manglobe's actions. Goddess arc is longer than what both anime seasons covered, not to mention smaller arcs important to GA which happened earlier, this is going to be a total trainwreck.

It all comes down to how many episodes it will have, really. If it's a 2-cour with 26 eps, Manglobe might be able to salvage the arc somewhat if they improve their pacing (about 2 eps per conquest) and cut down the more superfluous parts, such as

and maybe have these be OVAs.

Now if it's a 3/4-cour, by some miracle of whatever entity rules the universe, a better pacing is everything the show will need, everything else might just fit in smoothly. Hoping for this, both because the GA won't get hurt much and because we'd be getting an incredible serving of TWGOK that way of course.

However, if it's a 1-cour it'll be crowned trainwreck of the year for sure, unless by "Goddess Arc" Manglobe means

And that would be quite the dick move.

All we can do now is hope and wait for more info on the episode amount, unfortunately.
