According to Weekly Shonen Magazine, TV anime "Kimi no Iru Machi" was announced to be aired from this July.

Glad that they changed the art style but I don't like this either...hoped that the art would be more like in the manga.

I was also wondering why the anime starts from the ending of the OVA, but then again, it's different isn't it? Almost every series wastes about 8-11 episodes (when short series) for the two to realize their feelings. For a change now we get ot see what happens after they have realized their feelings are mutual. And let's be honest here, the "Tokyo Arc" is definitely the most eventful of all the parts in the manga, so I'm guessing they picked the cherry on top, so to say the best part. I'm happy that KNIM finally got its deserved anime, but I wouldn't have minded for it to be a long series, since this really has the material for it.

I'm am looking forward to this anime adaption more than any other animes since I love the manga. I have to agree some parts were lame otherwise it's a good romance story with awesome friendship. I fell in love with the story at the beginning, then I hated how the story was going, then I fell in love again with the story. Hopefully, it will be good, regardless, I will finish reading the manga.

this series has been in serialization since 08
im actually surprised this series hasnt been animated sooner

its all about funding and animation companies who actually think a manga is gonna do well as an anime and KnIM has more than enough merits as it is to become an anime

seeing asuka there i think its going to have 24-26 episodes but if its just 12-13 expect huge cuts

YES! The art seems to be different than the OVA and much closer to the manga (i hated the art of the OVA).

If it's really a continuation of the OVA, then 24 episodes should be sufficient for a good adaption. Going with 12/13, on the other hand, would fuck things up badly.

No I watched the OVA and I tried the manga a bit but it seemed booring as hell.

This is just my opinion, but I can't get any enjoyment from reading a manga or watching a anime with a male lead.. unless they have a really interesting personality or something.

The OVA was a huge disappointment for me. Didn't quite like the voice actors for Haruto and Yuzuki.
