OVA mentioned yet? Manga volume 15 this December comes with a DVD episode, amazon listing:

Same cast and staff looks like, Production IG.
Problem is the Amazon listing does not say it is an OVA although it lists some staff and cast names... Would like to see a firm confirmation first before starting a thread on this...

Sounds like a lot of the voice actor cast got replaced?

as sad as i am to hear that majority of the VA's aren't going to reprise their roles, the replacements (for lack of a better term) are actually quite promising; such as Kanako being voiced by Yukana (Testarossa, C.C., Kazehana, and Nanasaki, Ai) and Saki being voiced by Satou, Rina (Tanamachi, Kaoru and Misaka, Mikoto).

it's still very unfortunate, but i'm very much looking forward to seeing what the new VA's bring to the table due to a few being veterans.

I have waited so long for this...

Since it seems pretty much everyone was re-casted, I gotta say I feel bad for the original voice actors. Although its been quite a few yrs since they wrapped on the original recordings, not being able to come back to do a role must feel somewhat disappointing/discouraging for them (least I would be if I was a VA)

Are you serious? Does that really happen?

Haven't really read on too much to know. But I've read enough to say that things are getting weird in Genshiken. Its completely possible for things to turn out that way.

Uesaka Sumire as Yoshitake Rika and she will also sing the OP !! Now after the Muromi-san OP I have high expectation of her second single ;-)

So are they going to skip Ogiue's arc?

Yeah, the author itself said so but it's such a shame...

Yeah I just read it a while ago in chapter 87. I blame the producer. They really want to cash-in in the Fujoshi boom. The author better pair Madarame with Angela because I can't take a lot of BL and fujoshi stuff.

Fuck, I was afraid that would happen. I really hoped they would just have continued where they left off... Ogiue's arc was really enjoyable in my opinion and it's a shame it's skipped. I really wanted to see it animated...

Wow that really is a bummer.

I'm going to be really lost watching this one. Jokes flying past me left and right. At least that's how it was when I tried reading Nidaime. Hopefully I'll get the jokes better when they air the anime.

Maybe they'll even put some teensy weensy Madarame x Saki moments. I at least have those to look forward to.

Hell yeah!
But i love how genshiken, first started out majorities were guys, and now it's females.

R17? O_o
Just notice that Kenshiken 2 also is R17! why? Not that I want to argue, I'm curious because I didn't remember any R17 materials!

If I were to guess it would probably be the yaoi episode, that was fairly explicit IIRC.
