TV Anime of Game 'Photo Kano' Officially Announced

According to Famitsu, bishoujo game "Photo Kano" was announced to get a TV anime adapation. The news was leaked last May. Five manga adaptations including Photo Kano - Sweet Snap and Photo Kano: Your Eyes Only have been serialized.

Why should we care if madhouse produces it or not? Its an anime. I honestly don't care who makes it, if I watch it and find it's good, it's good. And so far, it's not half bad.

Well said. I am not a fan of dating sim adaptations. With a couple of exceptions, they never work out too well.

It should be about as fanservice oriented as Amagami, given that its an All Ages game from the same developer.

Harem? Ecchi? You will be in for disappointment (for details read this earlier post in this thread here: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=523479&show=20#msg18616103 )

At most it is a photo model level of "ecchi", and for "harem" it is more like Amagami than ToLoveRu or Infinite Stratos, namely you are going after 1 girl at a time - how much that counts as harem I'd leave it for now.

And all those professed surprise that Madhouse doing animation for PhotoKano is baffling... Madhouse is just another studio that animates for a range of genres. It just happens to have a couple of arthouse work that seems to have gained quite some fame among anime fans, particularly in the west.

Anyway, fans in Japan wonder more when the vastly more popular LovePlus will ever get animation after PhotoKano...

I know, Love Plus was a good game compared to this and it needs an anime badly preferably with a lead that isn't a wimp or allergic to love someone like Io from Acchi Kocchi.

I really like the manga. Surprised to see an Anime adaptation announced already though and Madhouse is animating it. Very interested to see how things turn out. :D Kanae Itou voicing Nimi?! Heck yeah!

you can't blame them though, not a lot of anime fans play VN's, and the manga was the 1st thing they saw (and assumed its the "original")

Read a few of the chapters of "Sweep Snap" and "Your Eyes Only" manga. I found them alright, so I shall watch this too.
