For life of mangaka, smoking is much more likely to cause heart problem than sitting on your butt all day I would say.

RIP
I was just trying to find other works of her yesterday and I noticed there is no work of her anymore. The last one I read was "Until I Turn Around the Corner" which is pretty good.
Hetakoi is awesome, I really love it but Chisa X pon is breaking my heart. I'm waiting Chisa X Pon to finish translating so I can understand the whole story.

Rest In Peace

first off, this is very sad. alot of good mangakas and novelists are passing away. i really liked hetakoi. i liked the art style and the author's use of narrative. also, grandpa komai is prolly one of the best male lead in a romance manga. not as overconfident as most shoujo manga leads and also not as wimpy as most shounen manga leads. the story's flow is good too tho i cant help but feel like the ending was somehow rushed. there are some stuff that didnt have any conclusion like what happened with kotone and yuu or ruka's friend or what happened to both grandpa and ruka's exes and a few more tho its still a good ending. now its officially the last we'll read of her works. sad. RIP.

Well at least she finished her work unlike the MM and Kaze no Stigma's authors. It's sad that a mangaka has died though

Meh... kinda sad.. I think Nakano Junko kind of perfected her skills/style with her Hetakoi releases... :|
With heavy drama and seinen ecchi :| my favourite :|

Her work was a guilty pleasure of mine. It's saddening to see such great person to die so young. Rest in peace, Nakano Junko. You'll be remembered.

I've just finished Hetakoi.
It's a pity a good mangaka had to go so early... Rest in peace Nakano-sensei.

... I always thought it was a guy who did Hetakoi and Chisa. If I recall correctly, the volume 4 of Chisa was the earliest seinen ecchi manga I'd bought years ago because of it's over 18 restriction label. What I like about her works is that her has a easily recognizable artstyle and her attempts to give both gender perspectives within her romance stories.

RIP

The picture of Ruka at the bottom left sure leave a bitter-sweet feeling.

Oh my god, I just read about this...
May she rest in peace and always be remembered through the manga she left.

Hetakoi will probably always remain one of my 'sentimental' manga (was between the first I read after all) and will remain in my pc until god knows when.
