TOKYOPOP Artist Wins Manga Contest
Rem, the artist of Kage no Matsuri (originally an online comic) and also artist for TOKYOPOP, has won the first Morning International Manga Contest. Rem's work will be featured on the first pages of Morning 2 magazine and will also be the cover art. For winning the contest she recieves $5,000 (USD).
Kodansha hasn't announced the winner (and was not planning to until late August), but Rem herself confirmed it on her blog.
Rem has also won the Rising Stars of Manga which was run by TOKYOPOP. She is also the artist for Vampire Kisses. For more information: Comi Press.
