1st you say you thoroughly enjoyed the manga and then you say that you hated it? Which one is it? Not to be a fan girl and hate on you but the development in Sukitte Iinayo isn't fast compared to a huge number of mangas. Actually I would say the development in this manga is probably the most realistic I've seen. An saying you hate it is pretty bad too, Sukitte is loved more than hated I would say. So it's not the authors fault if some people just can't handle a great romance. But we can argue about this all day and get no where so I'll let you have your opinion and I'll have mine. Just sayin'.
Whoa, someone needs to take a chill pill. That person was saying that he liked Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun but hated Suikitte Iinayo, he didn't say he liked Sukitte Iinayo and then turn around and say he hated it.
In any case, you seem pretty worked up about the fact that someone hates Sukitte Iinayo. It's an opinion and you make it sound like his is wrong.
Haha, sorry for coming across that way, I didn't mean to snap it out like that. I didn't know he was taking about my little monster when he said tonari. It was my bad. But I still hold to my word about Say I love you, I thinks it's a great Shoujo manga and don't especially like people saying they hate it. Usually people that say that haven't gotten far enough in the manga to actaully make the judgement. Once again I didn't mean to be mean muntasir123 please don't take it that way XD

I love how there's quite a few people who completely label Sukitte as bad or un-watchable because its genres include 'smut'. I'm not someone who's into that genre at all and yet I find Sukitte very enjoyable and it's story is actually really well done. The characters aren't as generic as they sound and their emotions rather believable. While...the animation for Sukitte doesn't look as good as the anime art at all...it'll still be a pretty good anime.
As the old saying goes "Don't judge a book by its cover" and for Sukitte that saying couldn't be more fitting. Some people need to take off the goody goody shoes by saying that it's smut so you won't like it and just give it a chance and try to enjoy it. I don't think anyone would judge you if you did like it considering that one genre, they shouldn't either way. We all have our preferences, am I wrong(though it's not one of mine as I previously said)?
I've been meaning to get started on Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun since a friend of mine recommended it, but I've had no time at all. Hopefully I'll be able to soon though so I can see what to expect from the anime adaption. The synopsis sounds fairly decent and I kind of like the female character to be somewhat cold or similar to Kujo from Last Game. Ah, we'll see. The Fall season will be epic. Actual shoujo anime, freakin Code:Breaker, Magi and so many other awesome new anime. I only hope Breaker and Magi follow the manga course, though that might end up long and there's that trend of keeping the anime limited to 12-24 episodes -.-
Either way, fingers crossed and hoping that the Fall season will be as good as I expect, if not better.

there haven't been a lot of shoujo manga animated in a while.. so hopefully this means something. *GENBU KAIDEN GENBU KAIDEN*
it will only mean something IF and only IF the shoujo anime this October are received well by japanese girls/women.
Either the anime have to sell well or the sales for the manga have to increase. If none of these happen, we'll see even less shoujo manga anime.
all we can do is hope and pray.

EDIT: I realize I got really worked up here. So I'm editing my message:
Please, please do give us shoujo lovers a break. Due to the past shoujo animes bad sales we barely get anything now. So..getting an OVA is like a miracle. Please don't ruin the little happiness we have by trolling and bashing shoujo or teasing it. It hurts you know?
and these two manga sell very well in japan. and it has lots of fans outside japan too. by posting messages like that you will naturally enrage fans.
and yet you complain when someone bashes an anime adaptation news you love. A little advice: practice what you preach.
there are5-7 romance shounens per season.
even if you don't like shoujo, even if you hate it and never want shoujo, please, think for a moment. how would you feel if the type of anime you loved was never made again?
this is just an eg: how would you feel if moe anime are never made again? I know that will never happen but think. How would you feel if only OVAs were made. yea. horrible isn't it?
so next time think twice before trolling. don't take away what little happiness we have, please.
I flippin' second this! Me will continue to read "Sukitte Ii na yo" right now :)
