New Manga by Mitsuru Adachi Calls for Reprint of Monthly Magazine
According to Comic Natalie, the June issue of Gessan, released on May 12, has announced an additional reprint to be released on May 23. The reprint was caused primarily by the first chapter of "MIX", the newest manga serialization by Mitsuru Adachi. Shogakukan made the bold decision to do the reprint, a rarity for any manga magazine as well as a first for Gessan, in response to the nation-wide depletion of the first stock of the monthly magazine before the first week after its release date.
MIX is the sequel to Touch, taking place 26 years later, about a different pair of brothers involved in the baseball team at the same Meisei Middle School.

Touch, hmm. The main characters and I are the same generation. lol
So old-school.
It is surprising that Adachi was regarded as the last one who draw a sequel. Hiatari Ryoukou, Miyuki, and Nine have never been made additional stories.
He may have changed his own mind.

I saw the CM to MIX, which it kind of looks more like Cross Game than Touch.

I'm for this if Tatsuya and Minami are coaches for the baseball and rhythm gymnastics teams.

I find this just amazing, i'm a big Adachi fan
And if it is a story that goes 26 years after touch, it doesnt relate that much with it, so I dont think it's bound to be worhtless like the movies that came after it. Its also a manga, so I dont think Touch fans should be unpleased with this...

Only read Cross Game by him and it was quite alright. I have the whole Touch manga here but I can't find the time to read it. Yet, he's probably one of the most popular sports manga creator out there right now so this doesn't particularly surprise me. Cross Game had great sales.

omg, just let Touch die...the worthless movies were enough. Now Adachi wants to "redo" Touch again? As if Cross Game wasn't enough...
Will Tac-chan make a cameo in this new manga? I would wait about 10 years for the manga to be finished because it's probably going to be super long.
