TV Anime of Manga 'Zetsuen no Tempest' Announced

According to the June cover of Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine, a TV anime adaptation of manga "Zetsuen no Tempest" was announced.

It's still unknown as far as I could discover - so by now I'm assuming 2-cour. There would be enough manga material too.

Does anyone know how many episodes Zetsuen no Tempest will have? On MAL it is still unknown but I thought that they might have forgotten about that.

That's actually a legitimate concern. I tried the Spiral anime once. It was so different - the "hundred times worse" kind of different - from the manga, I dropped it without a second thought. If that happens to Zetsuen no Tempest... That would suck. For me mangas beat animes any day 95% of the time, so I'm sticking to the original anyway - but still. Some people prefer anime for some reason, so it would be a pity to make them watch a crappy version of the otherwise great story.

Damn, stumbled on the manga, loved it! If this is getting an anime, I already knew before I read it, as I learned of it from BONES anime, and future releases as well. I know BONES can pull this off great! It did make 1 of my favorite anime, Eureka Seven, didn't it.

Yup, by the author of Spiral. And it does feel similar at times. The best thing about this series is that even though it has the whole magic stuff going on, what's the most important is the characters having their way with words and being really clever bastards.

It's not gory,it's more like a Death Note with Magicians lol.It's made by the same guy who made my favorite manga spiral

Wow ever since I've read the manga I was hoping this gets an anime.I just hope they won't mess up the ending since from what I know the manga is still ongoing

If it's BONES animating they should do a good job.

Although, they might not stay 100% loyal to the manga, like what they did with Soul Eater (not that I mind, since it was good).

Huh. Well that was unexpected, didn't think this thing would ever get an anime adaption.
I'm not complaining though, I could use some cool male leads every once and a while.
