2nd Volume of History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi OVA Announced

According to Weekly Shonen Sunday vol.9, the second volume of History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi OVA was announced to be released in May. It will be bundled with the 47th volume of the comic. The first volume of the OVA will be released on March 14th.

Series were just wonderfull. First EP of OVA.. Hmm well it was good. But second EP?! WTF was that? Id didnt feel like Kenichi at all.. And the art strange too...

I really want to pray that these OVA's will help bring back the Kenichi series cause of how awsome the manga is getting now what with the epic battles against YOMI and now that the masters are having their own fights. Since the manga's ahead about 300+ chapters it would be easy for the anime to do whatever with the series. Plus, I think I know why they ended the series at 50 episodes cause of how they fit 143 chapters in 50 episodes must of been tight. They probably wanted the series to expand more till then. Hopefully, if they continue the anime for another series or something, I want to at least see the D of D tournament arc since its the longest to date and has so many epic fights in it. Also, if you look carefully at the end of the first OVA, you'll see how they put picks of Kenichi's fights with Sho, Boris and even Kokin in the future, this makes me think it's just screaming at us that the series will be picked up someday. come on new OVA!!!

Don't agree with this. As much as I would like a 2nd season, where they chose to stop the anime was just fine. Everything was tied up splendidly with just enough at the end of it to lead into a 2nd season if they so chose. The events that begin to occur in the manga right after where the anime left off is an entirely new story with little to no relation to the Ragnarok arc. (well other than characters of course)

That being said....give me another season. Right now!

I just finished the anime and already started to worry to see once again an incomplete story (regarding animation). I'm really happy that there's an OVA upcoming. I'll definitely check that out :D

sorry but how would they bundle a whole series with a volume of a manga, i haven't ever seen that before.

the biggest problem would be Miu's seiyuu (Tomoko Kawakami) passing away. she's second only to kenichi in terms of being a main character.

i suppose that is what happens when you don't make a sequel for quite a few years, that sounds a if i am being disrespectful but i don't mean it.

I'm still not sure about the details of this OVA, but I'm hoping we get some of the good parts of the manga. Not sure if they'll make it to the tournament arc, but that was always my favourite.
