Winners of the 57th Shougakukan Manga Awards

The winners for 2011's Shougakukan Manga Awards in each category are as follows:

General
Sakamichi no Apollon by Yuki Kodama

Shounen
Nobunaga Concerto by Ayumi Ishii

Shoujo
Pin to Kona by Ako Shimaki (Boku ni Natta Watashi)

Children
Inazuma Eleven by Tenya Yabuno

The winners will each receive a trophy and prize money of 1 million yen (~$13,000) on March 2nd in Tokyo.

I've heard of Inazuma Eleven and Sakamichi no Apollon before, but nothing up there really interests me. I'd never even heard of this event, either. Whoops. Congrats, though. ^^V

Well, the only exception being Inazuma Eleven. I actually got pretty interested in reading Nobunaga Concerto.

never heard any of these manga except for the childern one and i wouldn't mind giving the Shonen Manga Nobunaga Concerto a try.

Never heard of any of those. Although the Pin no kan thing or whatever sounded really intresting... untilr I realized that it wasn't a yaoi. :P

Sakamichi no Apollon looks amazing. So glad it's getting an adaptation.



Also I guess Inazuma Eleven is a little popular in Japan... just a little.
