New Anime of iDOLM@STER Announced

According to the official website, a new anime of The iDOLM@STER was announced. The producer company is A-1 Pictures. More information will be revealed in Megami magazine March issue to be released on January 29th.

The first TV series iDOLM@STER Xenoglossia was aired in 2007. According to 4Gamers, the new iM@S anime will be based on the story of the original game, not a spin-off as the first series was.

The iDOLM@STER 2 game will be released on February 24th on XBOX360.

The music will be good since the cast of the anime is the same as the games.

I've been an Idolmaster fan for a long time (okay, maybe not that long, but it feels like it), so OMG OMG OMG. <333 /fangirls

Hated Xenoglossia. :/

Aw man, Ritsuko Palin. That's funny. Missing the old design though.
I'm excited for this. Damn good music and characters. That's what iM@s is all about. As long as I get Chihaya and Yukiho (and Miki), I'll be satisfied.

Ami and Mami were more adorable when they were in twin-sync. It sort of annoys me when twins that were that close just look different for no reason.

And yeah; Ritsuko Palin does not amuse.

They took out Ritsuko's pigtails, that's a shock (she doesn't look the same without them), however Ami and Mami having different ponytail lengths is probably a good idea especially since this is present in Idolm@ster 2 due to the twins being discovered adds some continuity between this anime and the games and to get viewers who aren't on the gaming bandwagon a chance to differentiate between the twin sisters.

Eh. If there's Makoto/Chihaya, then sure, why not. I'm into iDOLM@STER for the characters more than anything else, so I hope they'll at least be true to them.

...And keep the designs from the first game. I'm not happy with Azusa's new haircut, nor Makoto's.

EDIT: Just watched the trailer. Darn.
