The plot/character is quite generic like most most BL mangas; MCs being together because one has fear of darkness (childhood trauma) so the other main lead was asked to sleep with him and feelings developed overtime (the usual cliché plotline). However, the artwork done was very unique; it was very clean and refreshing as you can immediately tell from the main cover.
The two main downfall of this particular manga were: (1) not a complex story but had the potential to be one specially with Kachou's childhood; (2) tw: incest-- this element was unnecessary to the plot and it was also one of the reasons

As what the title, translated in English says, “Stay with You in Total Darkness” this manga is not your generic manga, I can say. Although this manga is definitely a fluffball, there is also a very prominent undertones of drama, psychological and even comedy.
I don’t mind much the touch of “incest” (If anyone pointed that out already) here because I don’t think that it is the main plot of this manga. Since it’s tagged as yaoi here in MAL, I’m really glad that it is not focused on R scenes. I like how the two main characters struggled to understand and accept ... Feb 21, 2022
I thought this was gonna be a deep story from the first pages. The first chapter was really good, despite the comedic scenes and kinda awkwardness, it was emotional in a way. The other chapters changed my opinion about this manga, I really thought it was gonna be something about overcoming one's past and trauma, but no. For me, this story felt kinda mixed. It was good in some aspects but others not so much...
The trauma could've been handled better, we don't even get proper closure. Did he overcome his trauma? Therapy? How is he suffering from that trauma since he was a kid without ... |
