Manga the way it is, it's already a media for a especific niche, however, this manga aimed for a niche of the niche: Fighting Gamers and Otaku.
At this point you probably already know, it tells a story of Daigo Umehara, one of the most famous PRO PLAYERS in the world, responsible for the classic EVO MOMENT #37 (if you live in cave and don't know what i'm talking about, just search in YouTube).
Even if you don't practice figthing games, you can read without problem, but you not gonna reach full experience from this, not because of something technical from the games, but you won't be

able to sympathize 100% with situations where the characterers are in.
The thing is, the focus in the story is in NUKI, not in Umehara.
Nuki is the stereotype of a main character from a shonen and Umehara the rival for the MC.
As a manga that should be close to a biography, it doesn't make sense.
Nuki itself as character is not bad, he has struggles, emotions, just being a problem the position where he is in the story.
The art surprised me. Usually mangas with this premise aren't well drawned. This isn't the case in this manga.
There are in fact, some amazing angles, and very nice shots from the face of the characters that optimize the emotions of each one.
If you make part of Fighting Game Community, I easily recommend the read, and if you are not, this is an opportunity to discover a new world, understand the joy, passion and struggles of a FG and start your own fights.
