non-fetishized yaoi (more like shounen-ai) with healthily developing relationships, more realistic compared to other works of the same genre out there.

both are easy quick read bls with a wholesome romance and nice art and character designs.

They're both just really soft and sweet mangas. Without too much drama.

Both have protagonists trying to run away from their past. Gives off similar ‘yearning’ and are equally comical and heartfelt at the right times.

Same found family/"countryside"-vibe

Summer love in a picturesque seaside village and under the moonlight. Umibe no Étranger and Natsukage ni, Sayonara (chapters 1 to 5; 8) share the same atmosphere and the characters have somewhat similar personalities.

I can't believe this hasn't been recommended yet. Same refreshing art style and same type of nostalgic airy feeling. I prefer Umibe no Etranger slightly more though because the storyline is more cohesive and it's cuter in a way as well. That necklace and that creepy stalker guy in Hana nomi seems shoe-horned in unnaturally.

Both Yozora and Umibe no Etranger are very underrated and I'm surprised they don't have a wider readership. The art style in both are unique and help give a really refreshing and nostalgic feeling to the work. Both feature BL but it's relatively healthy and consensual and the focus is not on the BL part. I really enjoyed both titles.

- Similar style - Umibe no étranger is about one couple, while Kiss shite Yowamushi-kun! is about 4 couples, but they both contains cute stories. – Neither of them are really special with a unique story, but they are quite enjoyable Over all, both of them are like I wrote, quite enjoyable, so take your time to read them both..

Both are dreamy and warm stories which handle their topics in a slice-of-life manner and have likeable, quirky characters and cute art.
