At the time of this review, I read 87 chapters out of 90 (news said it was 90th), but not 88-90 released, or missing 69-70.
I am clear to say I know what this manga’s rating is.
I wish Ptolemy's Singularity was better to read about than Beatless anime, is what I thought. Perhaps I was looking in the wrong place for that reason.
>Setting
A spin-off is equal the same as its main story, HIEs robots rule its future place in Megafloat by Memeframe (hahaha). So yeah, technology rules the world.
But different from its Beatless anime, that for sure.
>Story
It starts with a girl, or “mystery” girl says a
...
line that left a mystery in my head I was try to read on to understand why she said that in the beginning.
Iris get invited by the Magicians’ Club to keep the club going, later attention get a specific crowd, then every time goes to battle!
Kaito use holo-projecters to fight in battle! Using hacking skill made by a guild, this should be Watch Dogs awesome! If the story didn’t drag on…
“We have a enemy! Let’s fight! We have another enemy! Let’s fight!” Over and over again. If that all I remember, then there was no fun.
The way I see it, its like Trainer vs Trainer. For every battle won against every Guild member, based on rankings, book gives him benefits from the Guild, using them from Guide’s knowledge to create for more stuff of magic.
Also battle more trainers in further chapters.
For another reason, Phase 60 was just chapter 1?! That was really weird end title of that chapter. Phase 63 is chapter 2…
The story does not connect with me, whenever they are doing something, I could not feel the need to follow them, instead I wanted to be finish with it. It was not fun anymore.
I get the feeling that itch in my head that these characters were meant to drive the plot, just to be “There” for reason for story.
>Characters
I had to write a list for every character that appeared as I read on. Wait a minute… I never had to do that any story I read, which means I can’t remember them! That is a bad point to have for a story.
-Iris
A person I didn’t have a clue at first, mystery I say, but is that it?
-Kaito
Loves magic and illusions, his favourite trusty holo-projecters by his side to fight! Ability to hack machines with his book… somehow…
The villains of the story(?). Err… I know they have the best magic(?) in the world… yeah that it.
>Art style
The art is cool, even when the scenes where its scary horror for Lily’s robots-zombies would make horror fans proud, in a future where your maid HIE could turn on you, and you must run! All by someone with the power of hacking! Mwhahaha! (by the way, where are the male HIE robots?).
I had not problem with its art, pretty to look at or using for drawing practise.
>Overall
As I continued to read the manga, I was forcing myself thinking that there will be something good to think about when I finish most of it. The art was awesome! The story… why did that happen again?
Do I want to read this manga again? Reflection of my enjoyment got a lower rating when I told myself, no didn’t want to read once more.
If you read the manga for its visual art, you will get your worth here. But plot is weak to remember, if characters can support its story, is not enough.
>>>Pros
-The art is awesome. When action scenes dove its magic, it shows its colors.
>>>Cons
-The story shown was slow, to finish was 5 or more chapters long for a scene that delay on.
-What was the point of this story?
-Connection with the characters is weak to even support them.
