Kuuki no Soko or "Under the Air" is a collection of short stories with no overarching plot. Characters are unique to each story and there is no presumption of a shared universe. Each story has something unique and thought-provoking to say about the human experience, and while they're not all flawless, the quality of the collection is consistently high. storytelling styles, but also through dramatic changes in artwork. With lots of meta commentary, a mountain of charm, and enough ideas to leave you thinking for days, this is an incredible introduction to the mind and artistry of Tezuka Osamu, and I highly recommend it.
