Tokku Hakkenshi [code:T-8] started off by exploring the events of their world. Which is very lax considering that death could be occurring around any corner. It builds up to the protagonist joining an organisation by unconventional means and being pushed to take action due to morals. The gags in the story are repetitive and in the end I personally feel no closure and no real solution for why anything is happening. But overall the action was intense which made it not terrible.

Character: 1/3
The protagonist has a special name (which is mentioned too many times) and they have a complex over it as people expect ... great things from him. In tense situations he is able to leave not dead due to his insane luck. He has somewhat of a personality which includes his love of 2D younger sisters and asking “why me?” while sacrificing himself for others. Most of the other characters have one liners which either support his behaviour or degrade it. One of his friends does have a segment where they struggle with waiting to be saved or taking action themselves. I wouldn’t say character development was strong but he and his friend seem to have matured.

I liked the art, I could tell characters apart and the action scenes were detailed. I really enjoyed the protagonists’ range of expression and the amount of detail in the background was very nice.

Overall I would say it’s alright as I wasn’t invested in knowing what the protagonists’ name meant. Note that the way it ended was horrible as the whole story made it seem like it was getting somewhere but never did. Personally I don’t regret reading this but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Alright, this will be a spoiler free review; so you're going to have to take my word for it, don't bother reading this horrible excuse for a manga. I don't think I've ever felt more like my time was wasted than when I finished the last chapter of this manga.
It's not a novel premise, but at the beginning it lures you in with decent visuals, an amusing protagonist and a surprising amount of tension. Every last positive detail of this story was squandered, just when you're rooting for the protagonist to get credit for his actions from his sister or anyone else, they introduce ... a side-character who spends 98% of the time he's around moping, and the rest of it getting credit where the protagonist deserved to.

If there is anything I can say, it's that I genuinely wanted good things to happen for the protagonist. It's pretty rare that they manage to make the perverted guy likable, but absolutely nothing happens. It was deservedly axed, and ended after one of the most uninspired, insipid and generally unrealistic segments I have ever seen in any form of media. This manga may not have been anything special, but it could have been an entertaining story. Instead it ended up being an 80 chapter long pathetic waste of time, and an incredibly frustrating experience.

Admittedly, the scores do not add up; but that's because this manga somehow manages to become far less than the sum of it's parts. This manga could have the best art, a more unique story, and better characters and through what it did with them, it'd still be a 1/10 manga.

TL;DR:
Don't waste your time reading this manga, this is garbage unparalleled.
