I found D'V to be a really horrible series.

The first half of volume one hints at what could be a decent story only to do a complete face heel turn after the initial chapters. The concept of the story is nothing new, humanity is wiped out and replaced by a race of androids called the Selenoid. The Selenoids exist thanks to a Gynoid type God figure, 'Lady Leave', and are borne from computers, somehow. They are ranked in purity depending on how well they are able to communicate with the 'Mothers' which are sort of like the messengers/high priestesses of Leave. The plot focuses on ... the rebellion between the slaves and the high ranking Selenoid. This is where the plot becomes really inconsistent. Humans are stated to be wiped out almost indefinitely, and less pure selenoids act as slaves. Partway through the 2nd volume the slaves go from being less pure Selenoid to humans. Inconsistencies aside, the plot after the first volume more or less turns to shit. It turns from what could've been an alright series to something akin to a roleplay between two 12 year old girls. We have a Mary and Gary Sue as are main characters, and the rest of the cast are more or less lifeless stock mooks. The entire plot post-volume 1 focusses more or less on the lead male, who is some sort of angsty teenaged fuck who is half Selenoid half human and is infinitely strong but ~troubled~. He is bland as hell and his character resembles an atrocious self insert that pre-teens are notoriously skilled in creating. The female lead is not worth talking about, she's more or less a useless damsel in distress who can do shit except cook, be ~cute~, etc. Later on she's revealed to be important, but her importance is in name only because she's still fairly useless. Again, a self insert. All the mooks more or less love the 2 mains, and there's a shit ton of fanservice a la the female lead. To make it even worse the author throws in a bunch of really shallow metaphorical bullshit about love or something. Of course there are always a bunch of people who gobble this shit right up and seem to think that phrases like 'Love overcomes all~*~' is the epitome of philosophical thought and is what makes a series good when it doesn't. Umm, on a better note the art is pretty nice. The fight scenes are really confusing and muddled but everything else about it is decent.

Tl;dr, I didn't like the series because it was filled with nonsensical bs and plotholes.

Do I find the series worth reading? Not if you're on a time budget. If you have time to waste and don't care about the quality of the series, then go ahead, it'll keep you occupied. I finished it in around an hour and a half to two hours, so it isn't really that long of a read.
