First off...
READ HEAVEN'S DOOR INSTEAD! This "book" is just the same exact dialogue of Heaven's Door
The only way I'd suggest reading this light novel is if you were more of an Angel Beats! fan than I am, and that's saying quite a bit. My biggest gripe was, as the other review said, that the entire book is pretty much dialogue. I didn't mind it when it was 2 characters, but when the 3rd, 4th, and 5th were introduced, it was very difficult to keep track of who was speaking, save Yurippe, as you could almost always tell when she was talking based on the
...
attitude of the speaker. (If the .pdfs I found actually include names next to the lines, then forgive me and my lack of non-english characters loading in my .pdfs)
Story: 6 - Fair
I mean, it keeps true to the after life deal they had going on in the anime. I like that premise very much, so it gets a 6. It doesn't sway from that and have exceptions to the rule of being able to die (at least not yet but I don't plan on continuing). Meeting the characters one by one was also nice, instead of having everyone just plopped in front of the view like in the anime (That's what a prequel is, right?) I stopped when I felt like the part I was reading was very irrelevant.
Character: 3 - Poor
I like how abusive Yurippe was, and how she can keep killing her teammates so often that it didn't matter. The main character got some cool moments, but Ooyama was pretty annoying (The fact that I can't even remember the main's name asaide from H should send warning signals). Overall, the characters are pretty unremarkable.
Enjoyment: 3 - Poor
The only reason I didn't give a lower score is because I still enjoyed how abusive Yurippe was in this story.
Overall: 3 - Poor
I wouldn't suggest reading it, but I did just to try to flesh out the only other review.
