After almost 2 whole years a continuation to Nisio Isin's novel series "Monogatari Series" is here and we have a lot to talk about but I will keep this short as only one volume is out as of now.

The new volume and the first of the new "Monogatari Series: Family Season" season titled "Ikusamonogatari" is here.
Isin seems in a shape as good as he has ever been in and mono's charm has no signs of wearing off, this volume follows Araragi and Hitagi's honeymoon trip with Shinobu and Kanbaru accompanying them, the arc is titled as "Hitagi Honeymoon" which fits this well. Weirdly enough, this ... volume does not focus a lot on the honeymoon part instead it revolved around the events surrounding our favourite couple trip and emphasizes a lot on name changes throughout and it seems that Araragi has mixed feelings on the matter.

Anyway, our beloved protagonist is now a FBI apprentice and a member of the Japanese Police Force while Hitagi works for an overseas trading firm and it seems that those two spent quite some time apart due to their work even after their marriage which is so like them. Kanbaru is also in her fifth year of medical schools and she is preparing to be a sports doctor.
We also get to see some more familiar characters like Hachikuji, Gaen-san and Oikura which is always nice to keep up with and it seems that Araragi plans to adopt Oshino as his and Hitagi's child. We get to see them on a 2 days and 3 nights trip and trouble is still there for Araragi and Shinobu and Hitagi meet for the same time under the same roof. The developments in this volumes were outstanding and we get to see how much each character has matured throughout the years.
As a fan, there was nothing better than seeing some great moments for our beloved characters especially Shinobu and Hitagi and it makes me interested in how they will fare as a family in the future. Overall, this is a very solid novel just because it features 3 of my favourites in the spotlight and there is so much development in their chemistry with one another(especially Hitagi and Shinobu), I have come to love the trio even more than ever with the release of this volume and I have no doubt that it will only increase as the series marches towards its unforeseen conclusion, I give this a solid 10/10 just based of the first volume
All I can say is that "Isin you genius, you did it again!!!" and that I love the 'Monogatari Series" and I sure hope those who are reading this review share some of these feelings if not all as well.
Nevertheless, I am enthusiastically looking forward to the next novels which will be part of this season and what approach they will take but till then goodbye and see you soon....
