It's your typical fake marriage setup: girl lies about getting married, guy happens to find out the truth and proposes that they should get fake married, they get closer under the pretense of acting like a convincing couple and it escalates from there.
While the plot might be a bit cliché, the execution is good! As far as "reasons for getting fake married" go, Akane's is relatable and makes for an entertaining character to read. I like that she's not "conventionally attractive" and she's a really sweet and honest person. I don't usually like characters like her boss Tsuneyasu and I'll admit I wasn't really interested

in him at first beyond his good looks, but he does get a nice development and seeing how he falls for Akane is very satisfying and endearing.
As for what everyone really came here for: the smut scenes are really, really nice. The art style is pretty and their dynamic in bed is enjoyable. Sometimes, sex scenes in manga feel "too much", like the characters are exaggerating their reactions -- and although "Usotsuki Mille Feuille" sometimes gets close to that, overall it still feels pretty genuine. I personally give it a 9, but my critical rating is an 8 since it could stand out more. Still, it's short enough to make for a quick and fun read.
