Story-8
So far the pacing of the story is handled well and nothing feels out of place. There is also no filler to be found, each book is filled with plot points and information to move the story forward. If you watched the anime and are worried that the manga is just the anime in paper form, then no worries for there is new context. Just to note this story is pretty dark and it only gets darker as it goes. Akria is not treated very well and the violence goes up a notch when you get to the later volumes. So if dark stories are

not your thing then don’t read this. Plus the BL in the story is only a undertone so far and the action seems to be taking the priority. I have to admit I like the direction the manga is taking and I’m curious to see how this dark tale will end.
Art-7
The art in the manga is decent. The fights are done fairly well and the backgrounds are detailed. I like that all the characters are drawn differently, so you can tell them apart. No one is a cut out of another character which is a plus. I like the use of light and dark coloring for certain panels, it gives the manga a depressing feel. The only complaint I have in this section is that some of the talk bubbles are hard to read. Due to the small print that is used. Plus the use of black talk bubbles, with white writing over top.
Characters-9
The characters are the best part of this manga. Everyone is so different you are bound to have a character to root for. Plus all the characters that are from the anime are here and some new ones are introduced as well. You have characters that are dark, mysterious, crazy, sweet, and calm. With so much personality for them and different fighting styles for each one, you will have a favorite. Guaranteed!

Overall this is shaping up to be an action packed story with dark touches thrown in for good measure. Plus the BL undertone and interesting characters this is a fun manga to read!
