A man who works as guardian of a cabin protected by its mountains goes down to the valley to look for a missing girl, the daughter of a mountaineer friend of his who died when the girl was only three years old. For her, the man begins to investigate and enter the jungle of the metropolis of Tokyo colliding with the problems of Japanese society, a theme that is very present in Taniguchi's stories, the character of Shiga is very complex, he feels guilty both for the fact that he he went with the girl's father, in his friend's last climb in the Himalayas but

also because he felt envious of him. So to atone for his faults he obeys the last words written in the notebook of the friend who entrusts him with the family. The girl who feels neglected by her mother and tries to draw attention to herself by doing things she usually does, being kidnapped by the director of an electronics multinational. The whole climbing part of the building, in my opinion, is the coolest part of the story without taking away from the rest of the story. There we see the very character collide against the impossible, climb a wall and smooth without cracks to hang on. The curious thing is that the onomatopoeias are all in the Japanese language and onomatopoeias are usually used in the American language. My second graphic novel I read and I saw that the layout of this story is in the oriental style compared to the other works which are in the western style. The drawings are always a feast for the eyes, a very clean and smudge-free stylistic trait, the mountain backgrounds are very interesting.
My vote for the story is 8 while for the drawing it is 10
