Synopsis

At Grace Field House, life could not be better for the orphans! Though they have no parents, together with the other kids and a kind "Mama" who cares for them, they form one big happy family. No child is ever overlooked, especially since they are all adopted by the age of 12. Their daily lives involve rigorous tests, but afterward, they are allowed to play outside.

There is only one rule they must obey: do not leave the orphanage. But one day, two top-scoring orphans, Emma and Norman, venture past the gate and unearth the harrowing secret behind their entire existence. Utilizing their quick-wittedness, the children must work together to somehow change their predetermined fate.

I only picked up the manga because I loved the first season of the anime but I was extremely disappointed with the second one, so I had some expectations. That means the first part of the story, the initial escape, I already knew and love. Great story, concept and pacing. The second part was practically all new to me and it was good fun. A lot of new characters that helped make this world feel alive, and a great adventure that never felt too grand for our main cast. I loved how all the characters were important, not necessarily to the plot but to Emma ...

Mixed Feelings
I write this review after i watched the s1 anime. I heard the season 2 isn't by far as good as first one, so i went into reading the manga to understand all the story. And after reading all i'm....Kind of dissapoinied.

The manga starts really good, and it's perfect adapted into s1. small details changed, irelevant. What's happening after the 38 chapters...
Well, still goes into the good way but is losing it's suspense, and originality. Even if it's a fictional story, we tend to compare it to reality, and some situation are ridiculosly to happen in reality, that's why i didn't ejoyed that much. ...

This manga is unfortunately one of the worst things a manga can be: a total waste of time.

The Promised Neverland generated quite a bit of hype when it was initially released because of its interesting premise. I will be the first to admit I was drawn in by this premise and the first arc was incredibly enjoyable. The characters are likable, the pacing is perfect, and the cat-and-mouse game that the characters have to play is so full of suspense I couldn't stop reading (it reminded me quite a bit of Death Note). "I can't wait to see what kind of trials and tribulations these ...
