ok ok, ive watched alot of anime, and well really this is one of the crazyist, most screwed up, twisted, freakisly good anime ive seen.

i dont think my brain can handle watching more than a few episodes at a time. it may explode, or cave in, one. OMG.

i found myself watching my computer moniter, head cocked to the side, mouth agape, and slightly twitching.

i gave it an 8.

For some unknown reason I started laughing when I read this. Well, I obviously found it funny, but I don't know why.

And it seems pretty interesting, might give it a try sometime.

I'm currently watching this one, and its starting to get on my nerves to pause every other second to read that "what he/she just said is a citation from this manga/animé" or "the face is being drawn like this to pay homage to some strange person I have never heard of" so I have given up on reding the comments. (or else every episode takes over an hour to wach)

Lol, well these kinds of shows are good when you really watched alot of anime. Cause humor is basing on parodies, and twisted into the lines, so that you won't get a joke until you actually watched the original.

I watched the whole series, and I think it's pretty good :) Loved Becky in those behind-the-curtain moments... and obviously the Maho-girl (damn, can't remember her name...)

Yeah, its a pretty good series. It think it could of been shorter, that was my complaint with Azumanga Daioh too but this series had less overused jokes. I loled so hard when the Maho girl (I too do not remember her name) started singing using different tones of Maho, great stuff.

I have watched a lot of animé, its just that most of the time those "jokes" aren't funny, but just that the persons faces are drawn in some omega-ugly way and there is a note on top that tells you wich mangaka used this style.
But otherwise I like the series as long as I ignore the notes.

Just got into this one. If I can recommend Puni Puni Poemy or Abenobashi Magical Shopping Arcade - just as random and filled with parodies. I don't mind stopping to read the information provided by the sub group. It's nice to learn a little Japanese culture when it pops up, and the parody references arn't too vague. Even if I hadn't seen the series, I still know the names. I might just watch these normally through, then again to pay attention to what they're making reference to. I kind of wish the English versions were posted though. I like subbed, but for anime like this, it's better in English - then all the jokes and references are translated and easier to understand watching it once through.

Yeah, it's hard to take in all the silly and enjoy it and try to culture yourself at the same time.

Old avatar and sig retired for now.

The best part of this is the bus episode where they reference a TON of video games.

I agree, too, and I've seen a lot of twisted series. After watching 20-something episodes, I noticed half the time I had my head turned thinking, "Wtf...."
