The biggest question is how many non-Japanese TV / radio companies lawfully play Japanese songs. If many of them neglect the copy-right law, the reliability of the ranking is questionable.

Yeah, I don't even know half of the anime listed there. And, you know, everybody knows Pokemon and DBZ.

The alternative radio of Here plays them. Once in a while. But, as anything there, they are extremelly alternative and weird. Besides them, never heard, anywhere, only at online radios, by request.

But it makes all sense that only an obscure station would pass obscure music. The Japanese marketing does not dedicate enough to Europe or the States to make contracts with stations.

I love the Ashita no Nadja BGM! *hugs her OST CDs*
I am not surprised that it won this because the anime is licensed almost everywhere EXCEPT for the US. I have collected the dubbed opening song in Spanish, Italian, French, Korean, and Portuguese.

Waltz no.5 is my favorite song from it~

I am just sad that the OSTs don't have the really pretty piano version of it used in episode 26 *sigh*

Ashita no Nadja is great, I wish it would get licensed here. It's sort of like a cross between a world masterpiece theater anime + sailor moon - magic + a little reverse harem, haha. It's very shoujo, but it gets pretty cruel/messed up towards the end ^^

I have an Ashita no Nadja fansite HERE

If even that female seiyuu popularity assessment we got in which google hits were used as the source is a bit questionable in regard to accuracy, this ranking according to rental fees is even worse.

enough information to actually identify the songs, also I'm not really sure what BGM means, thought it meant background music but I'm not sure that that makes sense in this context.

As far as I googled around, the "BGM" of anime means the set of songs used in the anime except for the theme songs (OP and ED). I guess it's convenient for TV / radio producers to pick up good songs from anime sound track CDs.
