Depends really. It's super long and it's a little to childish/cartoonish. That's at least my reasoning. Same reason why I stopped with One Piece.

one piece is far better then fairy tail... you will just have to watch it upto atleast 100 episodes to really get into it... If you like it at that point you will love it for life but if still don't like it after watching it that much then leave it, its not for you :)

I've seen about 150 episodes of One Piece but I didn't mind holding it off for some time. With Fairy Tail, it was different. Couldn't stop it no matter what. :P
Childish and cartoonish? That's the reason (also because of the fan service but geez guys, fan-service is a common staple of most anime and manga nowadays) why it's a hit with most people.

Both. One Piece had very little fan-service(y) scenes but now it's almost filled with 'em, especially with Nami. Fairy Tail's fan-service is ever-present and eternal. :3 :P

FT's got a solid story but it comes in later. Animation's gonna be upgraded when FT is back in April so smooth action will be available too. :D

I like the animation style of Fairy tail, and there is a story that has some original pieces (for me at last), and I can laugh with it.
But they talk too much and so they kill the little excitement that is left.
Even though it's rather repetitive, I'm too far now (150) and I'm grinding my way to the end.

DB has almost no fan service in comparison to FT. Bleach has way less as well. Every episode of FT has fan service. Same cannot be said for DB and Bleach.

DBZ has no fan service but DB has. Bleach also has quite a good amount but it's not emphasized much like in FT. Also, I was supposed to write One Piece there in place of Bleach...

Still comparing DB fanservice to FT isn't correct either. Not every episode of DB has a character(s) with massive boobs in it with sleezy outfit on.

The reason Akira put in some females in the show was, so that nobody thinks that this is an all men gay kinda anime, and also for humor and plot too. :P

Story is- what story? It gave me the feeling that all the episodes were just fillers, LOL.

Best characters were: Cancer, Gildartz & Happy.
Art is average, was a shame for A-1 Pictures though.

Story is kinda generic, you don't need any effort to follow it. :D Like you had in Chaos;Head. I'm still having traumas of that anime. Nevertheless, it was a good one. C;H that is. XD

As for best characters, add Loke and Erza and that will be my favorites so far. :D

So I downloaded FT up to episode 175. Watched to about ep. 67 and can't continue. I just can't watch it. It's too childish. The only thing that makes it even remotely not something to show on nickelodeon is the ecchi aspect of it. It has a Pokemon type vibe to it that screams ages 12 or lower.

Maybe I'll try it again, but doubtful.
