I can't wait for this! I loved Tamako Market and this excites me. Can't wait to see this! Sad that it probably won't be until July or August that it comes out on BD/DVD and gets ripped/uploaded raw/subbed onto the net.

But still, great news =)

EDIT: In the main pic for the movie here on MAL, is she topless?! Not that I care, but that's generally not something KyoAni does, especially for something that probably won't even get a PG-13 rating.

In the ED of K-ON, Mio is topless when she sings. It doesn't really mean anything if you are just showing collarbones lol.

Ah, I see. I have yet to watch K-ON, but it makes sense. I thought about it more and I think they did something similar in the ending of Chu2Koi with Nibutani.

It just says something like "items that appeared also in the TV series plays a big role"
and "We wish to bring everyone to moe-death by using tring telephone, cassette tape, and baton. You'd be touched by this film showing earnest feelings"

The picture drawn by KyoAni staff apparently appeared in a magazine as a Movie promotion.

By the way, do people know that:

・The voice of Hinako, Tamako's mother, is played by Yoko Hikasa, starring in K-On! as Mio;
[*Director Yamada requested Hikasa to sing off-pitch while not being awful at singing at the same time]

・Mamedai, Tamako's father, is played by Keiji Fujiwara, starring in A Certain Magical Index, as villain Kihara;
・Anko, Tamako's sister, is played by Rina Hidaka, starring in the same series as Last Order (Clone No.20001), who gets kidnapped by the above Kihara;
・Shimizuya, the heartbroken Tofu vendor, is played by Yoshihisa Kawahara, starring in the same series as Aogami Pierce (the blue-haired classmate of the hero in the series)
[*It's interesting to see that JC Staff producing Index/Railgun series and KyoAni have been "pulling" each other's voice actor/actresses; JC Staff tends to enroll KyoAni's new-born heroine quite often: Aki Toyosaki (Yui/Uiharu), Suzaki Aya (Tamako/Takitsubo), Maaya Uchida (Rikka/Frenda)]

・Michiko, Mochizou's mother, is played by Satsuki Yukino, starring in Inuyasha as heroine Kagome;
・Kunio, the coffee shop owner, is played by Kouji Tsujitani, starring in the above series as Miroku, the pervert monk;
・Fumiko, the meat shop and croquette seller, is played by Kumiko Watanabe, the actual wife of above actor and starring in Inuyasha as Shippo the raccoon dog;
・Takashi, the fishmonger husband, is played by Ken Narita, starring in the same series as Sesshomaru;
[*Director Yamada started her career with Inuyasha; many other KyoAni staffs worked for Inuyasha series. It seems that as KyoAni re-started producing original works (without base novel/manga) with Tamako Market, it bagan with its own roots finding]
