Somewhat similar to the anime with Tokisaki Kurumi. Dat clones.

Oh and nice to see Kotori in that outfit with her abilities active this chapter. Dat flames. I definitely find the LN more descriptive in the action scenes. I think the anime rushed some of that part through.

Lmao, the hospital scenes were silly. Origami silly you.
“I’ve been told to avoid strenuous activities.”

Seems like she did met her match at the end of this volume though.

Just started reading this LN about 2 weeks ago. I can't stop reading.

Although I had some difficulty following the story at the beginning, I'm assuming because of the way it was translated, I'm warming up to the story.

There were a number of surprises in this volume. But since I had seen some screen shots of the anime, some revelations didn't really come as a surprise. However, I'm intrigued by that [Someone] and Kurimi's wish. I was not expecting that.

Anyway, since I should be at the point where the anime ended, I will be taking a look at that. Hopefully it will be a decent adaptation. And I am looking forward to returning the the novel.

So I ended up comparing the anime to this volume, I think that the anime did a great job in making the scenes come alive, the art is good enough, which was part of the reason I enjoyed it alot back in the day.
Yet I dont understand why do they show Kurumi, but then never done the full scene were we actually learn her movitations to eat Shidou.

Also Kotori's memories were so rushed on the anime, that I never understood what was going on, but the LN really shades alot more light on this, and on what is to come with Kurumi.

Just finished this volume after seeing episode 9 of season 3. So that scene with the red gem was included all the way back here...

I liked how Kotori felt that the black ribbons from Shido gave her more strength than the Phantom's red gem.

Seemed like a pretty important scene to be cut from the anime, but maybe inserting too much of it into the middle of the battle with Origami, or afterwards, wouldn't flow well in the anime. Still, could probably have fit Kotori's promise to be a strong girl when she wears the black ribbons in somewhere... It would also be introducing a new character (Phantom) too much in the 12th episode, which doesn't fit well either. Same goes for most of the last scene with Kurumi - 12th episode isn't the time for more exposition. Pushing that scene into the next season seemed to work fine.
