| I understand how they feel - as I'm going through the same thing my with own mom in real life - but my role is more like the sister, I have been around with her the whole time and still when I go to the center to see her she does not always recognize me. One day I was taking my mom to the doctor and she said what relationship do you have with my son that you are transporting me when I'm the one who takes her, not my brother... Other times she thinks I'm her granddaughter instead of her daughter or just someone she knows. Sometimes she knows I'm her daughter. It's rough. Also she will call me and the younger version of me differently like she thinks I'm a different person than the nickname I had as a little girl. She often thinks she is a young girl herself. It's very weird and hurtful. |
