| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- A very good video, really nice watercolor art. Was wondering what was going to happen to them at the end when he caught them. Turns out this is about an old Chinese saying about when neighbors fight, nobody wins. Makes sense, if the clam doesn't get water it will die but if the snipe doesn't get his beak out, he dies. And while they're fighting the fisherman comes up and grabs both of them. |

Good animation. Great soundtrack. Well thought moral. Also, pretty fun to watch (I laughed at the clam deceiving the snipe). The first four minutes are a bit slow, the rest proceeds smoothly. Glad I took the time to watch this. |

I love these types of Chinese works, it really brings out the beauty in more traditional forms of Chinese art. And we get to see it animated! I really liked the snipe actually lol. All the little movements were really nice. |
| I liked the art, it looked like it was painted on. The story was also very great, I guess the fisherman is the winner in this scenario. 7/10. |
