| Binbougami-ga is an excellent anime, deserving of far better than the likes of GG English subs denigrating its original script and intended audience. Even though the show itself is rated PG13+ in Japan, the content is just fine for younger viewers. My 7y/o cousin would love this anime on the visuals alone, but she would want to read the subtitles. Unfortunately until this series gets properly licensed English subtitles, or a decent group picks it up, that's not going to happen. The GG subs, which are the only English release available, are so rife with profanity that it can get downright annoying for adults, let alone being completely age and 'translation' inappropriate. Why should coarse language be any more acceptable here than it would be in Superman: The Animated Series? Even Lexx manages to resist the urge to scream 'Die Fucker!' upon sighting the man of steel. Newsflash GG, this is Japan, not some backwards Western country produced media. People there are polite, considerate, literate and well educated. Even kids. Excessive use of profanity only serves to highlight a lack of vocabulary, poor education and/or upbringing. If you are going to do something, do it properly or not at all. |
| Yes, because any profanity in a show with a monk who likes groping underage women, a dog-man who loves BDSM, and a song where those two characters sing about how much they love tits is absolutely the most inappropriate thing in there. |
| Hate to break the news to ya, but the Dub looks like its full of profanity, judging by the trailer clip they've posted. I think this anime just has foul language, no matter how you watch it. Its just in Japanese you can catch the swears as easily unless its in the subtitles :P |
