The local Pub of Moorwood, located on Montgomery Street. The Knight and The Rook was founded by Bill Canters in 1898, and has been passed down the family line ever since. The current owner is Robert Canters, a portly and kind fellow, who is well liked by the bars patrons. The Pub got its name from a humorous story revolving a chess game, that includes a Knight, and Rook and a bag of potatoes. |

Beatrice Bellmort A young-looking woman strolled down the streets briskly, spine upright and chin held high. Clad almost fully in black, a red scarf dangled from her neck and messed with her open trench coat. When she spots the building of the pub, she actually makes the effort of lifting one perfectly arched brow. She pushes the door open, a chiming bell mutely signaling her arrival. The place is bustling with curious townspeople. Beatrice sneers minimally, ice in her azure eyes. Wordlessly, she walks up to the counter. The man behind the wood gives her an unsure, calm smile. "What would you like, miss?" "Beer," the black-haired woman replies simply, pulling out a pack of cigarettes and an engraved lighter as she goes. She takes a long drag, letting the smoke out through her nostrils. The owner looks at her curiously. "I have never se'n you around before, miss." "That's because I wasn't into drinking last time I was here." |

Already sitting at a table in the corner, was young man unnoticed by any... partially due to him sitting in the darkness and equally due to him obscuring his face with a cloak. He watched the woman enter the Pub... recognizing her from the files from the Holy Church's intel and office of intelligence. PI Bellmort, the last of her family with that obscure sorcery trait that was joking referred to as 'Spongecraft'. The man didn't make himself known, and only continued to watch... and sip his tea. |

Beatrice's eyes slid to the side subtly. A gut feeling told her someone she doesn't really like is - Ah. Black clothing. Concealed face. Disgusting tea. Church agent. Beatrice sighed. Careful, my Lady, Merlin advised. Recklessness has been the death of even the greatest of kings. She didn't respond. She downed the beer and asked for the strongest thing they have in a bottle and a glass. The man behind the counter complied; Beatrice took them and made her way to the table of Martin. She seated herself with a plop, making the cigarette's butt burn to ashes as it fell from her lips. Swiftly, she ignited a new one. "Hello, Hunter." |

Beatrice grinned, exhaling all the smoke from her previous drag and blowing it straight into his face. She didn't bother with a glass, taking instead a long swig directly from the bottle. Merlin sighed in her head. The young woman crossed her legs, still dressed revealingly; she fixed the Churchman with a deadly, hate-filled glare. The temperature around them seemed to drop. She put the cigarette back in her mouth, taking a drag and letting the smoke out through her nose. Her tone, when she next spoke, a hand around the still open bottle, was frigid, low, and dangerous. "If my assumptions are correct, you must be the holy scum the Church has sent for that silly Tohsaka and her bored Mage Associate helping elf." |

"And if my information is correct you're Ms. Beatrice Bellport, 17 years old, 5'7", 110 lb, and last of her line to inherit... Spongecraft" He turned to look at her directly, he lifted his cowl enough to reveal his face and eyes though the hood was till up. It revealed a handsome face with dark eyes that didn't seem to match the small smile on his face. "we 'holy scum' tend to investigate our prey... thoroughly" he winked at her. |

Beatrice gave a quiet laugh. "Spongecraft? My..." she chuckled, before returning to the same killer look from earlier. "I could set you on fire for calling my Natura Effusio Spongecraft. I should, actually," she hummed thoughtfully, entertaining the idea. They sat in silence, for a while. Before she knew it, her cigarette was done. The fag met the same end as its' predecessor. She immediately lit another, taking a swift swig from the bottle of alcohol first. "Martin Malebolge. Orphan. Positively fucked-up up there," she began ranting, pointing to his head, hand shaped like a gun. "Overall, a little above average magus. Sad you couldn't make it into the BA?" she inquired, tilting her head. She took another swig. Merlin's protests were silenced. "Before you give me fish eyes...I'm not a PI for nothing. Just like you, holy scum, I investigate - and do a better job, mind you. I know most about all who're here for this mess." |

"I'll have you know, I never really aimed for the Burial Agency... between you and me, some of those guys intimidate me" said Martin kindly as he was called out and finally named. Martin finished his tea and said "So long as my blade was stained with the blood of suck-heads, I was happy. The BAs may lead the raids, but an occasional need for a team sometimes happens" as his grin shifted from being human to somewhat monstrous "But enough about me, tell me about yourself..." he said lightening up again |

Bea shrugged, kindly making the effort to not blow her smoke into his nose this once. She had calmed down somewhat. She still took a heavy swig from her bottle. "What's there to tell? Private Investigator, as you perhaps know. Preference for Pall Mall's, and the tendency to get in dangerous situations. Came into the attention of the Church thanks to my shady connections - particularly with one redhead they're after. Which, mind you, is hard as fuck to work with. A jack of all trades; and now, a hunter for the Holy Grail." Merlin groaned. There are many redheads hunted, you know, Druid? the girl inwardly clucked her tongue. I still think you should stop, my Lady. Alas, I digress. |

Martin laughed quietly "You misunderstand little girl... I'm asking you to give me a reason not to have you killed here and now?" Martin seemed a little fueled now as he said "My Orders were to either recruit or remove you from the game one way or another... its your turn Ms. Bellport, the ball is in your court" |

Beatrice smiled cruelly. "Little I might be, and playing dumb is natural already. As for reasons, do you need one? And more importantly..." she trailed off, rising in less than a second and slithering her way around the table until she stood behind him, the sharp edge of something pressed against his back, "Do you really think you can handle me?" she finished, whispering in his ear. Then, she laughed. "I don't care much either way. The power level within the Einzbern is quite attention-demanding. Then, there is the unaffiliated Townsend magus that might or might not sympathize with the Tohsaka cause of destroying the Grail. Who knows? I for one don't, nor want to, as long as I get something out of this." The knife was retracted. She was back in her spot. And Martin now had much less prana in his veins. |

"If you join the Tohsaka... I can personally gurantee your survival, my Orders also included protection of those under the Tohsaka's banner" said Martin sounding both reassuring and threatening at once. "The Townsend Magi is a problem for later and can be easily controlled, as she is not as much of a wild card as you are. The Einzberns may offer you price as well, but I'm offering my services on behalf of the Church and Tohsakas... so whats it gonna be?" said Martin |

The last competent Bellmort snorted. "If I had needed protection, I would have been long since dead, boy," she waved it off, already on her fourth cigarette and with only a third of the bottle left. "I doubt you can control that girl. She was mad enough ta get into Med School. You can't be entirely sane as a doctor," she further commented, borderline apathetic and spiting at the same time. She took a swig. "She probably would join the Tohsaka side. Sources and rumor has it that she's in 'cause her family doesn't want a repeat of the Fuyuki fiasco." The young woman shrugged. "I personally call bullshit on it," she added in her two cents, signaling for a waitress and asking for one more bottle. Once the girl skirted off, she sighed deeply. "Although, I might just join you. But I need a better reason than the company of holy scum. Never in my life have I done something for free." |

"The Church... is willing to offer information, information regarding your Father. More information regarding people, families, organizations, magecraft, spells, and money involved with his tragic incident" said Martin into the air. He looks her dead in the eye and says "The Church is willing to hand the whole file over in exchange for your services, keep in mind if you refuse my hand will be forced" |

Beatrice's lips curled into a snarl for a milisecond before she put on a neutral face. "Very well," she said simply, giving a generous tip to the waitress who had just brought her second bottle. "Bring me the check, please, miss," she added for the girl's benefit, giving her a winning smile. The girl flushed and skirted off with a "yes ma'am". Once her bill was payed, and she let some more extra, Bea ignited a fourth cigarette. "I assume you can find me if needed without the help of the Church, yes?" she asked Martin with a certain boredom in her tone as she leaned back in the chair and looked at the ceiling. We can eliminate him later, my Lady. We will, Merlin. And I'll fucking enjoy it. |

"Of course Ms. Beatrice, of course..." said Martin finishing a biscuit She's going to kill you later Nah, you don't say Lancer? No need to be nasty Master No need to point out the obvious Lancer Well excuse me from caring You're excused Hmph... I have an inkling that her Servant is near Location? Unknown, but it seems reasonable that he's close enough to act in case something happened during negotiations... after all she knew who you were right away Again with the obvious Lancer... anything else to say that isn't? Martin smiled at her and offered his hand to seal the deal. |

Merlin laughed inside her mind as the other Master extended his hand. My Lady, do you by chance know how we sealed deals in the Dark Ages? Hm? Beatrice inquired, half-intrigued, having extinguished the butt of her last cigarette. She took the last swig from her first bottle to wash off the aroma of nicotine. With a kiss. Regardless who made a deal with whom, regardless if both were men or both were women...they had to seal the deals with kisses, he explained, still chuckling. I myself did so. Kisses meant so little back then - though, it was a good chance to steal some pecks. The Master didn't know if to laugh outloud or not. She did remember reading it, now that the Druid had stated it. Still, she inwardly smiled deviously. She leaned over the table and promptly deposited a kiss to the Churchman's lips, having also taken the offered hand and shaken it at the same time. It lasted only a few seconds, and she pulled away with a neutral expression. At his strange expression, she shrugged, adjusting her trench coat and preparing to leave. "That's how deals were sealed a long time ago - didn't they tell you I like my traditions, did they, boy?" |

Martin was stunned for 2.5 seconds and he then said "Right, Tradition, of course..." She's right you know So help me God I could strangle you! Hehe Martin grinned forcing his game face and said "We'll be in touch Ms. Beatrice" as she turned to leave. So... was that you first kiss? ... You dog! You poor sod of dog! I pity you my friend and Master! *sigh* At least I got the mission done... though killing her would still be enjoyable You'd enjoy killing a woman? Or killing anyone period? "Good," she stated with a yawn, placing the chair back under the table. She picked up the bottle, and almost reached for a cigarette again. She debated with herself for a moment, before giving in and sticking a new cigarette in her mouth with her free hand and igniting it without a lighter; it went unnoticed by most. Awh, Master...you are such a heartbreaker, Merlin cooed inside her head. She inwardly chuckled. Would you like one, too? she inquired back. Merlin seemed to contemplate. Beatrice took a drag, blowing the clouds out in tiny circles. ...Maybe for a job well done, the Servant responded. The Master wanted to snort at that. "Then, pass by for dinner, why don't you? Since we're now allies and shit," she addressed Martin, this time fully turning her back to walk to the door. She gave a wave without turning her head back. Merlin snickered inside her head. //Beatrice and Merlin exit// |

The bell above the pub door chimes, signalling the entrance of another customer. This time it was what looked like a young girl, who's unique appearance made her stand out from the establishment's usual patrons. She looked out of place, ethereal even. Pale skin. Scarlet red hair that flowed down to her waist, a black ribbon tied to the side. Her eyes matched her hair, as did the majority of her clothing. She wore a long red coat with flared wrists, over a short black dress. Tights covered her legs, and she wore boots on her feet. She was pretty, that's for sure. But at the same time...unnatural. The girl walked through the pub, eyes taking it with interest in as she made her way to a dark corner, away from the other drinkers. A man sat there. His face was covered by a hood. She stopped in front of him, smiling as she bent down to look at his face. "Hello there" |

Martin tensed up as he heard the voice, something about this "person" seemed off. Something most people wouldn't sense. Most people would react in favor to such a voice, appearance, even smell. But to someone who's spent their whole life hating and hunting that smell... things were a completely different story. Within milliseconds an entire conversation took place between Lancer and his Master in 1 or 2 word sentences. As he slowly made eye-contact with the stranger. What? asked Lancer Vampire replied Martin Run? asked Lancer Fight answered Martin Here? asked Lancer Yes said Martin starting to grin Witnesses! complained Lancer sounding worried Corpses! said Martin sounding venomous and uncaring Plan? asked Lancer sounding defeated Attack! replied Martin excitedly and Martin leaped from the table whilst kicking it over and drawing a blade from what seemed out of the sleeve of his cloak, a Black Key, and throwing it hilt over blade at the stranger as a witness screamed seeing the blade fly! |

Alinda giggles, obviously amused by the man's reaction. He was even more of a fool than she thought, letting his emotions overcome him so easily. Really, did he has no common sense? Any self-control? "Really" With the table flipped over, the man aimed one of his Black Keys, one of the signature weapons of the church, at her. Alinda simply smiled, drawing from a coat pocket the Rose Benedict. With a pull of the trigger, it fired, a black projectile shooting from the barrel. It wasn't a bullet. That much was evident by the sound and the effect it caused. The table shattered, as did the sword. "Attacking me without even saying hello?" Alinda seemed to pout, but that quickly changed into a smirk. "You do realise that if where to fight here, I would have to eliminate all of these witnesses?" She gestured to the multitude of patrons, watching with both awe and fear at the scene playing before them. |

Suddenly....someone from their captive audience applauds the two of them from a seated position. The woman had slightly pale skin along with snow white hair. "Not bad at all~" The woman says and stands up. "However, I just have one minor complaint." "And that is..." Just before anyone could ask what she meant, she states "A boot to the head." The two fighters found themselves with a large boot connecting with their heads out of nowhere. Suddenly, it seemed as though every patron vanished in the blink of an eye as a young blonde woman wearing green walked into the pub, now with the maiden's unique bounded field. "Now now...I would appreciate it if you just got along for a few more hours...Wouldn't want any unnecessary deaths now would we? I believe a representative of the church would know better...but I am sorely disappointed in how lacking your discipline is." The woman that had caused the boot to hit their heads joins the maiden. "I own this town...I would appreciate it if you kept your damned bloodlust in check until nightfall." She puts plainly once more but with a venomous tone to her voice. "You're welcome to fight in this bounded field if you so desire...but I wouldn't recommend that as you'll slowly turn into life-sized puppets. So run along now you four. Shoo shoo~" "Shoe?" The white-haired woman asks, having the boots once again smack them in the heads. "Anyway...I'mma turn it off now~ Buh byyyyye~" And with that, Maria and her servant vanished, revealing that the townsfolk within the pub had lost consciousness. |

Martin wasn't surprised by the vampire's quick reactions, but he dealt with quicker. The first Key and table were distractions as he held the scabbard of a sword in his left hand and was preparing to draw the blade with his right... What did surprise him though was the appearance of a woman from the crowd, her voice, and the sudden collision with his skull that left him dazed but standing... blood dripped from his left brow as the shoe did nick a little. But as quickly as the woman appeared, whom Martin believed to be a Townsend, a Maria Townsend to be precise if the Church's intel was correct. Lancer communicated to Martin I like that girl, she's feisty and I told you already that there's too many witnesses... too many civilian casualties, his mind's voice sounded angry and half pleading to Martin. Martin ignored him and thought Bounded Field... puppetry eh? Like to see that beat Marina's Shroud! This sword can only barely even beat that! Martin released his sword from his right hand (but held the scabbard in his left), but instead in his right he activated 3 Black Keys so as they resembled claws as he held them and asked "Round 2 Suck-Head?" with a murderous smile. Lancer pleaded MASTER DON'T! LET'S JUST GO! |

Alinda signed. In fact he nearly facepalmed. How stupid was this man? How he every became an executioner was beyond him. Despite the man's quite obvious hatred for Dead Apostles, he should know better than to try and pick a fight in the middle of a crowed place. Even if all the witnesses where unconscious. "Disappointing" he says, the energy in his no longer there. He sounded bored, annoyed even. Alinda had hoped that meeting another Executioner would be interest, but she was disappointed. "Your willing to disregard your code and sacrifice civilians, just for a chance to kill me?" A glare spreads across Alinda's face, emphasized by the scarlet red of her eyes. "How vulgar" |

"Yes, I would... I'd sacrifice honor, code, morals, humanity, and my life to just remove every little stain you and your leech brethren have ever left on this planet" said Martin venomously. Alinda tracked him, his piercing glare following the Executioner's every movement. The man was truly a fool, caught up in his emotions and unable to control himself. While Alinda was more than happy to grant the man's obvious death wish, he was unwilling to do it in such a place. It would be a horrid, ugly affair, unbefitting of someone as beautiful as him. "You are a foolish little man, driven by emotion" he replied to the man's taunts. He raised his firearm, but didn't pull the trigger. If the man refused to listen to reason, Alinda would just have to draw the fight to a more appropriate area. |

"Emotion?" said Martin "Indeed they do you Corpse, these emotions are what allow men like me to hunt things like you" Martin raised an eyebrow and said "Perhaps you've forgotten what they are? Afterall, your brain and body was once a rotten piece of meat that was restored by consuming human blood and flesh" Martin's voice turned vicious as he said "Things like you pretend to be a 'beautiful human', but all you are is a piece shit wrapped up in shiny tinfoil" Ooh, that's BAD... said Lancer Martin grinned as he goaded the vampire... |

"I can't believe those bastards..." Feng mumbled under his breath as he furiously typed up a document on his laptop. "They are deserters and should be punished accordingly," Yue Fei replied quietly in his ethereal form. "With all due respect, exalted ancestor, your view of 'punishment' is a bit too harsh for today's standards and usually includes the term 'execution'," he commented as he took a sip of his beer. "Men today are too soft. And there is no need for such formality, Feng. We are but men." "Very well, I'll just call you by the title from now on, if that's acceptable. And don't worry, they'll get their punishment for deserting me, I'll just be turning in my research paper all. That aside, how's it look?" "They are bickering but I do not think it will escalate to conflict." "Well, we'll just have to wait and see then," Feng replied as he stretched and saved his document. |

"..." Alinda couldn't help it. Before he could even think about giving a proper reply, he burst out laughing. Elegant, yet rapturous laughter, like he had just heard the funniest thing in the world. He had to clutch his sides, he was laughing so much. This man. This...Executioner(If you could call him that). He was like a child, resulting to petty insults and goading when things didn't go his way. For some reason, it reminded Alinda very much of a child throwing a tantrum when denied his candy. A good few seconds passed, before it finally died down enough for him to speak. The vampire wiped a tear of joy from his eye. "Sorry...That was rude of me" he managed to say, regaining his composure. |

Feng listened as the fight began to escalate. Are they actually going to fight or are they just going to stand around like and yell at each other like jackasses? he thought as he reached for his glass. "Aaaand I'm out..." he muttered as he lifted his empty glass. He glanced around at all the tables of unconscious people and at the bar. Feng, I sincerely hope that you are not thinking of lowering yourself to petty thievery. Yue Fei commented. "Nah, most of the people already drank out of their glasses and if I went to go refill my glass at the bar I'd have to walk past those two... I guess, I'll just get outta here," he said as he started packing his things. Agreed, we should not waste more time here. As the two stared off, Feng began to slink his way back towards the kitchen because exiting from the main door would set off the bell and certainly alert the other two. Fortunately, they didn't notice and he was able to slip out. //Feng and and Yue Fei exit// |

Alinda glared at the Executioner, who had taken a stance for combat. For a moment, it looked like he would do the same. The Rose Benedict was held loosely by his side, ready to fire if needed. It was obvious how annoyed he was, with all trace of the amusement gone. Unexpectedly, however, instead of aiming, Alinda returned the red-metaled firearm to his coat pocket. "You bore me" he stated, flipping a strand of hair from his face. "While amusing at first, your pigheadedness is starting to annoying me" The look in his eyes made it clear how uninterested he was. It was like he didn't even regard Martin as human, more like a plaything that had outlasted its usefulness. He turned, ignoring the waiting Executioner, and started walking towards the exit. As he did so, he waved backhanded. "Goodbye, Mr Executioner. May we never meet again" With that, he left. The faint hum of a motorcycle engine could be heard from outside. |

Martin was stunned for half a millisecond... but only for half. Quickly after seeing the Vampire leave at top speed, he leapt into pursuit onto the street But the Vampire and its getaway ride... were long gone. *Sigh* went Lancer @^%%$*&$**O)*%^ went Martin in his head in rage... losing all sorts of rational thought, as his hate for vampires ran deep into his core. Patience Master... we will see it again, more likely than not it too is a Master in this war said Lancer Grumble/Growl went Martin half thinking of chasing... No, you have your Orders... after intercepting with the PI you are suppose to head to the Tohsaka Safehouse Lancer interjected Order was the key word to Martin... official orders were the only thing keeping him from pursuing that monster. So for one of the first times in his life, he turned his back on a hunt and left... Left for the Tohsaka Safehouse //EXIT// |
