She's cool, but sometimes she acts like she's in love with Rin and later Shasai. I was curious. If so, that's pretty sad since she's stuck in the freind zone with Rin.

While she's a child? She's not a lesbian.
@Yokodera is correct! Yuri is a better term.
After she grows up? We don't know!

Kuru is a crushingly LONELY child! She's literally dieing for attention most of her life. Naturally when she finally finds friends and a Mother-figure (Shasai) she feels VERY strongly!

She does "self identify" as a lesbian, for what THAT is worth when you're 10! And she plays that "role" in her relationships (again, as a child).

She loves her friends dearly, and like a LOT of people she may mistake that for sexual attraction. Remember: all three girls are pretty messed up in the head!

first yuri is not the correct term here.. yuri refers only to content and a genre in Japanese media, not a person... a manga can be a yuri manga, a scene in an anime can be a yuri scene but a person is not called or described as a "yuri" ... the correct term in Japaneses would be "rezubian" , which literally translates as lesbian... tho using that word instead of lesbian in an otherwise all English conversation would just make you look like an asshat

second age has nothing to do with sexual orientation... sexual desires and orientation not only can but usually do exist well before a person is an adult either biologically or legally... just because she's not an adult doesn't mean the term doesn't apply or her thoughts/feeling/urges somehow don't count..

also it's important to note that lesbian does not only mean sexual it can also mean just romantic (the same goes for the term Yuri)... even a woman who feels purely platonic love for another woman is technically a lesbian and you don't need to be an "adult" to have feeling of romantic love

First of all. Are you suggesting that a child doesn't know what they are? Because I take exception to that.
Second of all: Remember the conversation between Kuru and Shirai-Sensei. "You're not normal too?" Remember the conversations leading up to Shirai and Kuru-chan walking home together holding hands? It was an intense moment for Shirai-Sensei's character, going from super strict, super uptight, banning Aoki from having contact with FEMALE students because of HER own insecurities regarding her sexuality, to the moment during the Track And Field competition in the panda costume where she finally overcame the blocks she put in place and embraced and comforted Kuru-chan when she was crying her eyes out.

Both characters are homosexual.

Kuru's remarks about Rin: "What if Rin WAS a boy" and how she acted when she was doing Rin's make up to make her look like a boy.

Dude... I think you might just be homophobic.
