Maken-Ki! sad/tragedy?

Hello everyone, so after reading another topic on another manga reading website that had to to with sexual abuse on the manga I wanted to confirm if that is actually true (There was also a Mayo Chiki spoiler thread, so you can see were I get my doubts) I wanted to ask if the Maken-Ki! manga has any sort of tragedy or sad moments. I have been watching the anime and it seems that overall it is mostly happy fan service.

It has some sad moments in the back stories with Takeru's mom and Kodama's family, but it isn't tragedy-themed.
